Drogheda Independent: Campbell helps seal Irish spot in world finals

Megan Campbell is becoming something of a talisman for the Ireland under-17s ladies side.

During the Elite Qualifiers for the recent UEFA Championship finals, the Drogheda native produced a crucial goal for Ireland in a game they had to win against Sweden, one of the strongest women's national sides in Europe.

Fingal Independent: Oldies strike gold

Portmarnock over-35s ended an incredible début season by completing a league and cup double last week.

The seasiders clinched the title with three games to spare and defeated Partrician Celtic on penalties to claim the Clifford Cup. John Courage puts his side's stunning first season down to the spirit of his players and the other people involved in the club.
